Abstract
A case report is given of a patient, who had partial obstruction of bile flow after posttraumatic thrombosis of the portal vein. Stenosis of the duct was caused by varicosis of mural veins contingent with cavernous transformation of the portal vein; this is a very rare cause of cholestasis.
