[Surgical treatment of injuries to the ligament apparatus of the talocrural joint and its biochemical basis].

The biochemical principles of the functioning of tibiofibular syndesmosis and deltoid ligament were studied and mathematical models were built with the basic parameters taken into account. New methods of the surgical treatment of injuries of these ligaments are worked out on the basis of the regularities found. This surgical method was used on 37 patients with fresh and neglected injuries of the deltoid ligament and tibiofibular syndesmosis. Good anatomical and functional results were obtained in all the patients.
