One hundred and two patients were operated for peptic ulcers complicated with hemorrhage. The operations were organ-preserving. The postoperative lethality was 5,8%. The conclusion is made that parasympathetic denervation of the stomach with suturing the bleeding vessel in the ulcer or a removal of the pathological focus is a pathogenetically substantiated method of treatment of peptic ulcers complicated with hemorrhage.
