The Developmental Therapeutics Program (DTP) in the National Cancer Institute has an unique mission by serving as a resource for all academic and private research institutions, the National Institutes of Health in the USA, and the global scientific community in the quest for effective therapeutic agents for treating patients with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) as well as for cancer patients. This communication will concentrate on the developmental therapeutic program on anti-AIDS drug discovery.
