Abstract
The Department of Dermatology in Erfurter Street was founded in 1924. A short report is given about the early years of dermatology and the history of the clinic building in Jena. Its foundation is closely associated with Bodo Spiethoff, the first chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Jena University.
