The dynamics of changes in the contents of acid glycosaminoglycans in stimulation of the erythropoiesis was compared with the degree of maturity of the erythroblastic islands' erythroid cells. Blood loss was found to increase the contents of acid glycosaminoglycans in the central macrophages of the erythroblastic islands.
