Abstract
The cytological effects of two water soluble compounds, viz. 2-(3-pyridyl)-1,8-naphthyridine and 2-methyl-3-acetyl-1,8-naphthyridine, on the chromosomes of the male germ cells of grasshopper Poekilocerus pictus were studied. Of these two compounds, the former was more potent in inducing structural changes in the chromosomes.

研究了两种水溶性化合物，即2-(3-吡啶基)-1,8-萘啶和2-甲基-3-乙酰基-1,8-萘啶对蝗虫红褐斑腿蝗雄性生殖细胞染色体的细胞学效应。在这两种化合物中，前者在诱导染色体结构变化方面更具效力。
