PREP requires practitioners to demonstrate that they have completed the equivalent of five days' study activity over three years. This requirement commences from the first renewal of registration with the UKCC after April 1995. Study requirements may be fulfilled in many different ways, without necessarily spending time in formal classroom courses. Profile records should include outcomes, demonstrating the relevance of the study activity to the practitioner's work area.
