Abstract

In Germany a comprehensive system of legislation and institutions for prevention of occupational diseases and accidents at work has been built up over more than 100 years. The paper presents regulations and new initiatives in the field of occupational health and safety, undertaken in the country, known as the Act on Company Doctors and compares it with the EU recommendations.
