A complication of infection and pus formation in the septum pellucidum et vergae is described in a young black man. The case report describes the presentation, investigations, management and outcome in this patient. This complication has not, it seems, been previously described in commonly read English-language journals. A literature review of cavum septum pellucidum, cavum vergae and cavum septum pellucidum et vergae is included.
