Abstract

This article tells of the author's experience of suffering a cerebrovascular accident (stroke) at the age of eighteen. The author's feelings, thoughts, and sensations are explored, as well as the psychological and physical effects of a stroke in both the acute and rehabilitation phases. Details are given of a support group started by the author to help other young survivors of cerebrovascular accidents.
