A group of newly synthesized heterocyclic compounds was tested for reactivity against Gram-negative Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis. An attempt was made to correlate the structure of the compounds with their antimicrobial activity.
