Studies have shown recently that the occurrence of a pure accommodative strabismus has to be treated immediately with a full optical correction to preserve the stereoscopy. The use of little prisms can be very useful to complete the medical treatment. The dysfunction of the oblique muscles is not frequent and often without clinical signification. The interest of a surgical overcorrection, specially if it is cyclo-horizontal, to suppress the spectacle is not proven.
