The peculiarities of the interaction of radiation and hyperthermia in Saccharomyces cerevisiae irradiated with various dose rates.

In experiments with yeast cells it was shown that the synergistic effect of a simultaneous action of ionizing radiation and hyperthermia was a function of dose rate. It was demonstrated that, with increasing dose rate to obtain maximum synergistic effect, the temperature at which radiation is delivered should by elevated. Possible explanation of this effect is discussed.
