[Injuries of cranial nerves II-VII in closed head trauma--incidence, pathomechanisms, prognosis].

The paper contains a review of literature and results of own epidemiological research concerning injuries of cranial nerves II-VI in patients with closed head trauma. Injuries to cranial nerves, especially to the oculomotor nerve, occur more commonly than it could be concluded from routine clinical observation.
