Abstract
This empirical study of first year nursing students examines their perspectives on nursing as a career, family commitments and the influence of gender equity issues on their future life goals. This paper returns to and reflects on what the students have to say as they attempt to give meaning to their lives, goals and experiences. What emerges are a plurality of meanings and competing discourses as the students negotiate and make sense of their world as nursing students.
摘要
这项针对一年级护理专业学生的实证研究，考察了他们对护理职业的看法、家庭责任以及性别平等问题对其未来生活目标的影响。本文回顾并反思了学生们在试图赋予自己的生活、目标和经历以意义时所说的话。随着学生们作为护理专业学生对自己的世界进行协商并理解，出现了多种意义和相互竞争的话语。
