General analysis of 1075 knee arthrotomies in 1037 patients has been carried out. Young, physically active males prevailed 39 per cent of these procedures). In 20 per cent of the cases the injury to the structure other then the meniscus was responsible for the knee malfunction. A major damage to the articular surface has been found in 24 per cent of the cases. In 18 per cent it was associated with meniscal injury, in 6 per cent with the hypertrophied fad pad.
对1037例患者的1075例膝关节切开术进行了综合分析。年轻、身体活跃的男性占这些手术的39%。在20%的病例中，除半月板外的结构损伤是膝关节功能障碍的原因。在24%的病例中发现关节面有严重损伤。其中18%与半月板损伤有关，6%与肥厚的脂肪垫有关。
