A retrospective study of 394 consecutive patients undergoing emergency repair of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms and 526 patients undergoing operations for acute lower limb ischaemia was undertaken in order to investigate any seasonal variation in their incidence. No significant variations in their monthly distributions were demonstrated.
