An instrument with which safe and clean video transurethral resection of the prostate (video TURP) can be performed has been developed by the author; its use could minimize the risk to the operating staff of being infected by such dangerous viruses as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and hepatitis C virus (HCV). The instrument consists of a bag made of transparent synthetic resin (polyvinyl chloride), used to cover the patient's penis and a resectoscope with a super miniature video camera unit. Irrigation fluid from the patient's bladder flow into the bag and is drained into the drainage hose through the conduit in the bottom of the bag. When this is used, contamination of clothes of the surgical staff and the surroundings with blood-contaminated irrigation fluid is avoided.
作者研发出一种可用于安全、清洁地进行经尿道前列腺电切术（视频 TURP）的器械；使用该器械可将手术人员感染人类免疫缺陷病毒（HIV）、乙型肝炎病毒（HBV）和丙型肝炎病毒（HCV）等危险病毒的风险降至最低。该器械由一个由透明合成树脂（聚氯乙烯）制成的袋子组成，用于覆盖患者的阴茎，以及一个带有超微型摄像单元的电切镜。来自患者膀胱的冲洗液流入袋子，然后通过袋子底部的导管排入引流软管。使用该器械时，可避免手术人员的衣物和周围环境被血液污染的冲洗液污染。
