We report a 64-year-old woman who developed endogenous endophthalmitis in the course of severe periodontitis. Histopathological examination of the vitreous debris obtained during vitrectomy disclosed fungi and its culture identified Aspergillus flavus. Periodontitis should be considered as one of the infectious foci for endogenous fungal endophthalmitis as well as bacterial endophthalmitis.
我们报告一名64岁女性，在严重牙周炎病程中发生了内源性眼内炎。玻璃体切割术中获取的玻璃体碎屑组织病理学检查发现真菌，其培养鉴定为黄曲霉。牙周炎应被视为内源性真菌性眼内炎以及细菌性眼内炎的感染源之一。
