Breast implants: a gender issue?

Breast implants have been in use in Canada for more than 30 years. Between 100,000 and 200,000 Canadian women have them as well as one to two million women in the United States. Oddly, despite those numbers, inadequate data are available on the safety and side effects of these prosthesis.
