The use of fatty substances (cod-liver oil and fatty emulsions) in association with streaming and dropping dialyzing solutions injection every 4 h have permitted to increase the peritoneal dialysis duration at the acute common peritonitis up to 5 days (the method was proposed by A. A. Shalimov and V. I. Shaposhnikov in 1970). The experiment done on 47 dogs have confirmed the peritoneal dialysis promotion of homeostasis indexes normalization due to the pronounced detoxication effect.
