Among the various controls prescribed by the standards for NMR equipment installations, the measurement of dispersed magnetic field values is of utmost technical importance. The paper deals with scope, strategy and practical execution of the measurements. It also analyzes the question of measurement errors and their effect on the strategy to be adopted and on the final accuracy of isomagnetic tracings.
