Medical practice is only possible on well-informed consent between doctor and patient, for which doctor should first of all be a good listener of patient's physical and mental anguishes. Good listening can bring about genuine communication between doctor and patient, and tell doctor how to improve amenity of patient's hospital living. It is hoped that medical care system in Japan will turn out in future so that patients (consumers of medical care) will sort out doctors not only for their medical skill but for their ability of providing communication and amenity for patients.
