[Pathogenetic and morphologic aspects of acute pneumonia in infants].

Results of the morphofunctional examination of APUD and immune lung systems of 180 infants who have died from acute pneumonia are presented. Cooperative interactions between lung adipocytes and lymphocytes of the lymphoid system associated with bronchi are revealed. These interactions play an important role in the mechanisms of the pulmonary inflammatory processes development.
