Abstract
The author reports a rare case of phagedenisme due to leishmaniasis which was resistant to classical treatment for eight years. Immunological research led to the conclusion of a cellular immune deficiency. It seems that this immune deficiency is due specifically to an insensitivity of the organism to the Leishman body and not to other antigens.
