The use of skin flaps has long been known. Since the beginning of the 20th century, with better knowledge of skin vascularisation and technological development, the plastic surgeon has had at his disposition a wide choice: skin flaps, fasciocutaneous flaps, myocutaneous flaps, blood-carrying flaps and free flaps. The use of a flap for healing should be considered with regard to grafting techniques or directed healing. The criteria for choosing the type of flap are important, in order to obtain a good quality of skin cover with minimum scarring and loss of function.
皮瓣的使用早已为人所知。自20世纪初以来，随着对皮肤血管形成的更深入了解和技术发展，整形外科医生有了广泛的选择：皮瓣、筋膜皮瓣、肌皮瓣、带血运皮瓣和游离皮瓣。应根据移植技术或直接愈合来考虑使用皮瓣进行愈合。为了获得高质量的皮肤覆盖且瘢痕形成和功能丧失最小，选择皮瓣类型的标准很重要。
