The existence of circadian variations of the toxicity and effectiveness of Guizhi decoction were investigated in rodents. The result shows a significant circadian rhythm for the toxicity of the drug, with the higher toxicity in the light phase than in the dark phase. A temporal change in the effectiveness of the drug has also been demonstrated with higher analgesic and febrifuge effects in the dark phase. All these suggest that the time factor in drug administration and the principles of chronopharmacology should be included in the consideration of response to the drug.
在啮齿动物中研究了桂枝汤毒性和有效性的昼夜节律变化。结果表明该药物的毒性存在显著的昼夜节律,光照期的毒性高于黑暗期。该药物的有效性也呈现出时间变化,黑暗期具有更高的镇痛和解热作用。所有这些表明,在考虑药物反应时应纳入给药时间因素和时辰药理学原则。
