Osteoporosis prevention.

Osteoporotic fractures result in significant morbidity and mortality. They are also an increasing burden on health care resources. This article reviews therapies that reduce fracture frequency and slow the rate of bone loss and discusses measures that are important in reducing the fracture risk.
