The problem-solving styles of the nurse executive and chief executive officer pair affects nurse executive job tenure. This investigation tested if the style differences also influence nurse executives' effectiveness. The author provides suggestions to help nurse executives use more innovative behaviors and work more effectively with chief executive officers with different problem-solving styles.
