Among 104 patients with aortic stenosis 15 had subvalvular stenosis. In 4 cases the subvalvular stenosis was caused by fibromuscular constriction of the left-ventricular outlet, in the other cases it was formed by a connective-tissue membrane. A rather frequent combination of the subaortic stenosis with other heart anomalies is pointed out. Two patients died after the operation from progressive cardiac failure.
在104例主动脉瓣狭窄患者中，15例有瓣下狭窄。其中4例瓣下狭窄是由左心室流出道纤维肌肉性狭窄引起的，其他病例则由结缔组织膜形成。文中指出主动脉瓣下狭窄与其他心脏异常相当常见的合并情况。两名患者术后死于进行性心力衰竭。
