BACKGROUND
Orbital manifestation of hydatid cyst can occur in 1%, however, an exudative retinal detachment due to an intraorbital hydatid cyst is an uncommon finding.
CASE REPORT
A 20-year-old Turkish woman with an orbital hydatid cyst and an accompanying exudative retinal detachment.
RESULTS
Serology and histopathological findings confirmed the diagnosis of an orbital hydatid cyst. After excision of the cyst in toto the retina reattached spontaneously.
CONCLUSION
In the differential diagnosis of a proptosis with an exudative retinal detachment, although rare, the diagnosis of an orbital echinococcis should be considered.

眼眶包虫囊肿的发生率为1%，然而，眼眶包虫囊肿导致的渗出性视网膜脱离并不常见。
病例报告
一名20岁的土耳其女性患有眼眶包虫囊肿并伴有渗出性视网膜脱离。
结果
血清学和组织病理学检查结果确诊为眼眶包虫囊肿。囊肿完全切除后视网膜自发复位。
结论
在鉴别诊断伴有渗出性视网膜脱离的眼球突出时，尽管罕见，但应考虑眼眶棘球蚴病的诊断。
