[Evaluation of binocular vision and eye muscle balance in patients with diabetes].

The studies comprised 41 patients, aged 18-67, with type I and II diabetes. The function of ocular muscles was evaluated basing on the examination of eye movements, muscles balance and binocular vision. In 6 patients, binocular vision and in 31 ocular muscles balance were disturbed. No relationship was found between the function of eye muscles and the age of patients, duration of diabetes and changes in the fundus of the eye.
