[Evaluation of indications for reoperations after combined treatment of laryngeal cancer with function preserving surgery at the second stage].

Having analyzed the results of the previous treatment, the authors performed sparing resurgery in 11, laryngectomy in 31 and chemotherapy in 29 patients. The resurgery should be indicated only in cases of localized recurrent tumor with clearly outlined margins. Repeated laryngectomy did not change the patients' survival essentially. For elderly patients with disseminated cancer and recurrences resurgery is not recommended.
