In Colombia, a modified radical mastectomy remains the treatment of choice for breast cancer. When it occurs, lymphedema is a serious complication to breast cancer treatment and has the potential to greatly affect the women's quality of life. The purposes of this article are to review the normal physiology of the lymphatic system, the pathophysiology of lymphedema, the etiology of lymphedema based on risk factors, and the recommended treatments to relieve lymphedema; to discuss the nursing interventions to prevent and alleviate lymphedema; and to recommend priorities for a nursing research agenda.
在哥伦比亚，改良根治性乳房切除术仍是乳腺癌的首选治疗方法。淋巴水肿一旦发生，就是乳腺癌治疗的一种严重并发症，有可能极大地影响女性的生活质量。本文的目的是回顾淋巴系统的正常生理学、淋巴水肿的病理生理学、基于风险因素的淋巴水肿病因以及缓解淋巴水肿的推荐治疗方法；讨论预防和减轻淋巴水肿的护理干预措施；并推荐护理研究议程的优先事项。
