[Comparative analysis of the effect of active immunization of rats with bovine serum albumin and serotonin-bovine serum albumin conjugate on brain biogenic amine levels and behavioral reactions].

The authors studied the effect of active immunization of rats with bovine serum albumin and serotonin-bovine serum albumin conjugate on the distribution of biogenic amines in the brain and the behaviour of the animals. It is shown that the effect of the studied antigens on the condition of the brain mediator systems and the animals' behaviour differ in their trend, which must be taken into account in choosing adequate control in studies with induction of antibodies against low-molecular substances by means of conjugated antigens.
