Abstract
- Motor terminals undergo growth- and age-related changes throughout the lifetime of the animal in both vertebrates and invertebrates. 2. Motor terminals also show seasonal differences in transmitter release and morphology in both vertebrates and invertebrates. 3. Seasonal differences in motor terminals are likely to result from seasonal changes in motor activity and hormonal levels.
