Seen from the viewpoint of economy with particular reference to services, "production" of health care may be regarded as a secondary process of input and output managed by the medical profession by means of a combination of several factors. On the input side we have immaterial and material economic items (production factors) which may be described as a system of factors that are specific to health care providers.
