[Identification of the nature of the slimy substance of the thermophilic culture of Bac. subtilis-20].

By infrared spectrography and gas-liquid chromatography the composition of the slimy substance of the thermophilic culture Bac. subtilis-20 has been investigated. The slimy substance synthesized by Bac. subtilis-20 has been shown to be a polysaccharide. Xylose, amnnose and glucose have been found in its acid hydrolysate.
