Self-scheduling provides staff nurses the opportunity to be autonomous and to control their work schedules. Formation of a committee which will develop short-term and long-term goals is a critical first step. From an administrative standpoint, the staff's increased awareness of staffing and scheduling issues results in many long-term benefits for staff development and retention. Unscheduled absences due to illness decrease, as do individual requests for changes after posting of the schedule. The accountability and responsibility fostered leads to job satisfaction and professional growth.
自我排班为护士提供了自主安排和控制工作时间表的机会。成立一个负责制定短期和长期目标的委员会是关键的第一步。从管理角度来看,员工对人员配置和排班问题的认识提高,会给员工发展和留用带来诸多长期益处。因病导致的意外缺勤减少,排班公布后个人要求调班的情况也减少了。由此培养出的责任感会带来工作满意度和职业成长。
