Abstract
Rat islets of Langerhans isolated with collagenase bind tolbutamide, an antidiabetic sulfonylurea. Binding shows a cooperative relationship in the range of concentrations of tolbutamide (less than 10(-4) M) which are known to elicit a dose-related stimulation of insulin secretion.
