From time to time the MRC undertakes a review of a specific topic. The recommendations that emerge are considered when setting the overall strategy of the MRC (published annually in the Scientific Strategy document). The main aim of publishing a review is to encourage research in those areas where there are both needs and the opportunities on which to build, as well as simply to inform about the rationale for the MRC's strategy.
医学研究委员会（MRC）不时会对特定主题进行审查。在制定MRC的总体战略（每年发布在《科学战略》文件中）时，会考虑由此产生的建议。发表审查的主要目的是鼓励在既有需求又有发展机会的领域开展研究，同时也是为了说明MRC战略的基本原理。
