Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the expression of major histocompatibility complex class II antigen (human leukocyte antigen, HLA-DR) in glandular cells in eutopic and ectopic endometria in patients with endometriosis and adenomyosis.

PATIENTS

Subjects consisted of 50 patients with adenomyosis and 18 patients with endometriosis. Controls consisted of 17 patients with adenomyoma and 42 infertile women without habitual abortion and autoimmune diseases.

DESIGN

Glandular cells in eutopic and ectopic endometria were analyzed immunohistochemically to localize the expression of HLA-DR antigen. The sections were scored from 0 to 5 according to the evaluation nomogram.

RESULTS

Immunohistochemical analysis revealed significantly increased expression of HLA-DR antigen in the glandular cells in eutopic and ectopic endometria, compared with materials from patients with adenomyoma and infertile patients.

CONCLUSIONS

It is likely that aberrant expression of HLA-DR antigen in glandular cells of eutopic and ectopic endometria in endometriosis and adenomyosis is deeply involved in various immunological abnormalities.

评估子宫内膜异位症和子宫腺肌病患者在位及异位内膜腺细胞中主要组织相容性复合体II类抗原(人类白细胞抗原,HLA-DR)的表达。

患者

研究对象包括50例子宫腺肌病患者和18例子宫内膜异位症患者。对照组包括17例子宫腺肌瘤患者和42例无习惯性流产及自身免疫性疾病的不孕女性。

设计

采用免疫组织化学方法分析在位及异位内膜中的腺细胞,以定位HLA-DR抗原的表达。根据评估图表对切片进行0至5分的评分。

结果

免疫组织化学分析显示,与子宫腺肌瘤患者和不孕患者的组织相比,子宫内膜异位症和子宫腺肌病患者在位及异位内膜腺细胞中HLA-DR抗原的表达显著增加。

结论

子宫内膜异位症和子宫腺肌病患者在位及异位内膜腺细胞中HLA-DR抗原的异常表达可能与各种免疫异常密切相关。
