The effect of hypersensitivity reducing local NaF-gel treatment with or without iontophoresis was evaluated. Air test was used for pain and pain reduction evaluation. Three consecutive treatments (0, 2, 5 weeks) and a 3 month control examination was performed on 20 and 16 patients. Additional iontophoretic treatment with Pikomed-Dention equipment was found more effective than topical NaF alone. Therapeutic use of iontophoresis could be employed in several other areas of dentistry. More attention should be paid to its use in caries prevention.
评估了采用或不采用离子导入法进行局部氟化钠凝胶治疗以降低超敏反应的效果。采用空气测试来评估疼痛及疼痛减轻情况。对20名和16名患者进行了连续三次治疗(0、2、5周)以及为期3个月的对照检查。结果发现,使用Pikomed-Dention设备进行额外的离子导入治疗比单纯局部使用氟化钠更有效。离子导入法的治疗用途可应用于牙科的其他几个领域。应更多关注其在预防龋齿方面的应用。
