The histologic and ultrastructural features of a gastric glomus tumor are presented with a brief review of the literature. Initially interpreted as carcinoid, the tumor occurred in a 41-year-old female who was first diagnosed by radiological examination and microscopic histological study of an endoscopic biopsy specimen. Glomus tumor was confirmed by further study of multiple sections of a surgical specimen and by electron microscopy. Correct identification of this essentially benign, very rare gastric tumor can prevent unnecessary radical operative procedures.
本文呈现了胃血管球瘤的组织学和超微结构特征，并对相关文献进行了简要回顾。该肿瘤最初被误诊为类癌，发生在一名41岁女性身上，最初通过放射学检查和内镜活检标本的显微镜组织学研究得以诊断。通过对手术标本的多个切片进行进一步研究以及电子显微镜检查，最终确诊为血管球瘤。正确识别这种本质上为良性但极为罕见的胃肿瘤，可避免不必要的根治性手术。
