[Prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal aberrations in first trimester pregnancy--methods for cytogenetic analysis of the trophoblast].

Prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities by chorionic villus (CVS) in the first trimester of pregnancy is presented. Trophoblast biopsy techniques, methods of cytogenetic analysis of this tissue as well as technical and diagnostic problems in fetal karyotyping are described.
