Kinetics of immunoglobulin G in plasmapheresis of non-immunized and immunized donors.

The balance of immunoglobulins G has been studied during plasmapheresis in donors immunized and non-immunized with D antigen. For 42 days, the life-span of IgG, rhythmical withdrawal of plasma was carried out. During the procedure, 50% or 100% of the extracellular IgG was lost. A rhythmic loss of IgG amounting to double its production is the upper limit which can still sufficiently be compensated by the organism.
