Abstract
A formula for the estimation of abnormal VIQ-PIQ discrepancies was evaluated against the actual distribution of Verbal-Performance difference scores in the WAIS-R old age standardization sample. Results showed that the formula is sufficiently accurate for persons 75 years and older.
