The access to nursing literature is not always easy: very often nursing journals are not collected in a central library and nurses do not know what is available, even in their own hospital. A group of nurses decided to organize a work group to systematically read and file on a computer program the articles of some of the most well known Italian (and some foreign) nursing journals, and offer the program to all the nurses interested. The steps of the work are described, together with some of the problems encountered and the main characteristics of the computer program.
