[Recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract: their medical treatment].

The etiology of recurrent bacterial and viral infections of the upper airways is reviewed. Other causes of infection due to day care, passive smoking and gastroesophageal reflux are reported. A list of immunological deficiencies is presented. Some local, general and preventive treatment possibilities are proposed.
